BOBWHITE QUAIL Quail are abundant in most parts of Texas. Most people think various man-made things are responsible for diminished bobwhite populations lately but in normal years fewer than 20% of the population makes it through the winter due to weather and predation. But they have great capability to bounce back in a good year. Quail hunting with dogs is simply an experience every bird hunter should have. Try it if you haven't already. These prints are from paintings I did as commissions as well as some I did for my own interests. I trained and hunted my own English Pointer years ago before I started painting.
